Love And Nudes: Intimates For Women Of Colour
August 15, 2017To be honest, I never really realized the full scale of this issue until Chantal Carter Taylor brought it to my attention. The fact that women of colour have had to make do with beige lingerie. She said “Beige is not nude. It’s not my nude. Is it your nude?”
Toronto Caribbean Carnival aka Caribana is right around the corner. Soca parties and various events are already in full swing. Having grown up with a dad who designs carnival costumes, I’m a carnival baby in every sense of the word. It’s a big part of who I am. This the first year in a long time that I have the freedom to actually enjoy a full Toronto carnival. But with that being said…what the hell am I gonna wear?!! I put together some options.
