My Fave Matte Foundation

I’ve got an oily T-zone and I never remember to touch up my makeup. Unfortunately that combo often means I’m constantly oily. At the moment I’m obsessed Kat Von D’s Lock it foundation and the pressed powder. Here’s why I’m loving it…

So my first experience with the lock it foundation was on set of a tv show I shooting and I was like “what is this!?” The folks at Kat Von D were gracious enough to send me some and now I’m sold, y’all.

I was a long time powder girl. I thought it was just quicker and in the past liquid foundation has made me breakout badly. But I’ve been using the Lock-it foundation for a couple months now and I’ve noticed such a difference in my makeup coverage and no breakouts (probably because it’s oil free and alcohol free.) Which is major for me!

This foundation is finally giving me that matte flawless coverage I’ve always wanted. And the pump bottle allows me to customize the thickness of the coverage. Then I follow it up with the lock it blotting powder….ummmm fire! Plus they’re both a vegan products made with no parabens, sulfates and phthalates.

Listen, I’ve never felt motivated to do a makeup tutorial (although many have asked) but you’re reading it here first, that I’m gonna do my first one using this Kat Von D Lock It Foundation. I’m that excited about it! So stay tuned for that. For now here’s a look I recently did to take some blog photos. The tutorial will mimic this look.
