Hi hi spent a few days in Ottawa this week. Was fortunate to book a role in a movie filming there. Such a great experience and crew. Had loads of fun but shooting hours can sometimes be crazy depending on where you’re filming. So I returned a bit tired and I noticed it on my skin.
Today was cloudy in Toronto, perfect for you know what…self care Sunday!! This was just a mini one though. I captured the process, here’s what I did.
I had some majorly uncute moments January through March. I was just super blah and I felt like it was showing on my skin. So I’ve been stepping up my game. I can’t just use Neutrogena soap like I had been for decades!! It’s not cutting it anymore lol. I can’t hide from the fact that I wear a lot of makeup for the work I do…and my skin is changing. Here’s my Sunday routine.
Face Wash:
I started with a gel cleanser just to clear away any impurities and build up. I used Skinceuticals Simply Clean. I kept seeing these products in the makeup trailer on various sets, so decided to try some products. It’s a pore refining cleanser and my face feels squeaky clean after I use it. Just don’t get it in your eyes!!
Exfoliating Scrub:
Next up I got into a little exfoliating action. I used the Skinceuticals Micro-Exfoliating Scrub. I don’t like to scrub up and rub up my face too much, so I like this one because it’s mild.
Moisturize:
Then I wrapped up with L’Occitane’s Immortelle Divine cream. I was already a big fan of Loccitane’s shea butter. I use it on my body and face. But my friend Melissa was constantly encouraging me to try their Immortelle Divine Cream, singing its praises re: anti-aging. I finally tried it and she wasn’t lying! I got my glow on now!
So that’s a look at my little self care Sunday routine. Let me know what you think. Would love to hear about your personal faves in the comments.
