Bare Baby Bumps!

September 2, 2020

I promised myself I’d try to post photos of my pregnant belly on social media, because whenever I look through #pregnantbelly or #24weekspregnant or whatever, I very, very rarely see Black tummies.

I posted my first baby bump pic on instagram the other day. I was really comforted by the fact that other Black moms and moms to be felt the same way.

Here’s to sharing pregnant belly pics of all shapes, colours and sizes!

Happy Monday here’s my bare belly! ?I promised myself I’d try to post photos of my pregnant belly because whenever I look through #pregnantbelly or #24weekspregnant or whatever, I very, very rarely see Black tummies. Ooo wee what up wid dat!?? ?I just want to see what my bump is gonna look like or see other bumps that look like mine! ?I’ve noticed my baby apps have recently increased the amount of Black pregnant people in their articles etc. So that’s great! ?But I can still recall my feedback emails to them, asking for more Black baby bumps, more inclusive descriptions for pregnancy skin issues and for them to include African or even South Asian baby name lists! The work continues… ?So yea, here’s my tummy, good morning…and have a good week!! . . #mypregnantbelly #24weekspregnant #babybumps #pregnantbelly #firsttimemom #blackpregnantwomen
