Free-Them Walk

I recently participated in a portrait session for the not for profit anti-human trafficking organization Free-Them. I first learned about Free-them after covering one of their events when I was still at CP24. I was really taken aback to hear about the atrocities happening in Canada and around the world.  There are something like 29.8 million people in slavery today as a result of human trafficking.

Free-Them is doing great work raising awareness and funds to end human trafficking in Canada. They’ve been partnering with survivors, all levels of law enforcement, and government, organizations, and businesses to stop exploitation.

On September 22nd  Free-Them will be hosting their 6th Freedom Walk in Toronto. It starts at the Hyatt Regency with with a ceremony, followed by a 5k walk. The funds raised this year will be supporting a new house for sex trafficking survivors ages 16-24 that, Free-Them charity partner, Covenant House Toronto will be opening in the Fall 2018.

Was thrilled to be able to take part in this campaign. Check out the pictures and video PSA below!
