Young Island is a private luxury resort in St.Vincent and The Grenadines. They call it the home of barefoot chic. When I got this dress I knew Young Island would be the perfect place to take some photos with my friend Duane Bailey.By the way, still can’t believe I found this blush pink dress at, wait for it…Forever 21! It was on a rack tucked way behind a bunch of clothes. You know when you put on that item of clothing and you’re like “Ok, yes summer has arrived!” That’s how I feel in this dress. I love that Duane was able to capture that exact sentiment.
These pictures make me smile also because I think about the fact that my mom was holding Duane’s wireless flash. She’s so cute. My husband Victor wasn’t there so she was my insta-mummy that day lol. Those are the little things that make me so grateful for my mum. She’s never questioned any dream I’ve had. Eventhough I’m not always the easiest person to deal with, she’s always so eager to help my vision come to life. During my big life change my mum has really been such a huge source of support. Not just in her words but also in her actions. I love and appreciate her so much for that.
Excited to kick off my first summer where I’m whole-heartedly pursuing my dreams and actively participating in life. Hope you enjoy these pictures!
