I was like – where is Nneka Elliott?!! Who is this other person trying to fill the shoes of the classy, articulate Nneka? Is this a maternity or vacation cover? Nneka I’m so happy for you and I know that you will achieve all your hearts’ desires! Will be following you!!!!???????

OK, it’s Christmas Eve morning and, as usual, I’m watching CP24 Weekend. But, I’m thinking to myself, Hey….? Gurdeep is back doing CP24 Weekend? What is up with that? Is Pooja coming back as well?
And then I’m thinking, ‘you know, I wonder when this ‘other’ girl will be gone and my ‘fav’ , Nneka will be back’.
Slowly, I start to realize, that I haven’t seen Nneka in a while and I miss her!!
So, I start searching. And, during my search, I find the answer to the question that everyone was wondering and no one was asking – ‘what the heck is going on with Ann Rohmer?’
But, then I found this website and your explanation.
Well I gotta say, I don’t like it one little bit! But, I sure hope the best for you.
(BTW, don’t you realize that they never really let go of you at CP24 – maybe we’ll see you back). Thanks Nneka – Merry Xmas and wishing you a very successful 2017.
    Ron

Talk about being late to a party!! Couple of months..wow, can’t believe it!!! I’ve been so busy the past few weeks that it wasn’t until recently that I’ve finally slowed down enough to sit in front of the television on a Saturday morning and much to my shock and dismay you weren’t there!!!

Much like the other viewers above at first I thought that the new girl Jill was just filling in no biggie but I decided to google it!! So sorry to read that you have moved on, the morning shows these days seem to be in constant flux!!! I will miss your winning personality and warm smile. You three had such a great chemistry and that’s not something I think can be contrived. Good for you that you took the braves steps that you did to follow your dreams and take hold of your own destiny and not have someone else dictate it for you.

Good luck to you in all your endeavours in 2017..may it be the start of something wonderful!!??

    • Reply Nneka Elliott January 16, 2017 at 10:12 am

Thanks Lesley. Means a lot that you took the time to send this. I miss my friends at CP24 news. The hardest working team in the biz. I’m excited for me future!

Thought something was distinctly lacking on CP24 and realized it was you..thought you were on vacation , then decided to google. Your intelligence & professionalism has been stellar . I have no doubt that with your dynamism, you will flourish at whatever you set your mind.

Good luck, I always admired you on CP24 I’m sure you will do great with your website!!!

I hope you don’t mind if i give you just a little advice since I’m in the business myself dogdoestricks.com / https://vimeo.com/user8547951 (my company). The video is a little blownout, so the viewer is missing all your beautiful features, solution? just move the light back a bit, you can also buy these lights for cheap on amazon and they work great when lighting subjects.

    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B005NMTI8K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And also if you are doing your own thing I suggest a 5d Canon it is a great camera for that and reasonable, the warm colours of the “stock” work really well on darker skin, and then you just need a seinheisser or lavelier mic and run it straight into the camera for clear audio (with less room tone ).

I hope you don’t mind the advice! you maybe know all this stuff already but just thought I would say it … just in case.

All the best on your new endeavours!!

Nneka, you are so admirable…so many of us are unhappy yet we are afraid to follow our dreams and passions because we think it will risk our security . You are destined to do great things and God always directs us back to the path we were meant to be on…everything falls into place for a reason! Btw, I think you would make a great teacher 🙂
