1 Year Self-Employed Live Q & A

October 24, 2017
1 year self employed

One year has zipped by so quickly. I really wanted to do  more to mark this milestone but I’ve been a bit blocked creatively. Also I’m in a mad rush to get new episodes of my talk show out by the end of the year! That’s why you haven’t seen many new videos from me. But I’m working through it. Continue Reading…

I’m On The E Project Podcast This Week!

October 5, 2017
The e project

I first met Jodianne Beckford at Toronto’s African Fashion Week in the summer of 2015. She was shooting the event, I was there with Karlyn Percil. Jodianne came up to me, introduced herself and gave me her card. I could tell she was a bit nervous, but she still followed through. When I left my news job there are many things that I realized I was missing out on. One of those things was spending quality time outside. Sure I reported outside but it wasn’t quite the same as actually being present and fully aware of my surroundings. Home, work, home, work…that was my life. Now that I work for myself I’ve committed to doing all the things I didn’t make time for or was too tired to do. Continue Reading…

Inside Facebook Canada’s Media Event

September 20, 2017
Facebook canada

Last night Facebook held a media event in Toronto. They don’t really do these kinds of events so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The invite promised an opportunity to meet some of the staff at Facebook Canada and learn about new tools. There was also talk of cocktails…so I was sold!  Continue Reading…
