NIGHT 2 in Nneka’s 10 nights of holiday delights is the gift of simple elegance.

Azki Jewelry –

Smoky quartz and Ruby gemstones on 14k gold filled earring hoops.

These beautifully delicate earrings are hand made in Toronto by my wonderful friend Jehan. I’m personally moving away from chunky Jewelry and I’m currently obsessed with gemstones.  Jeanne Beker just mentioned Azki Jewelry in Post City Magazine calling Jehan’s work “Drop Dead Gorgeous…forever pieces.” I couldn’t agree more. I also love that I can wear these earrings with jeans and a simple top or with a Little Black Dress. Support local!

Value is $50

My mom got my ears pierced when I was 12. I don’t know why so late but I cannot wear any artificial jewellery for more than 2-3 hours….otherwise my ears start bleeding. Only gold or silver?

I pierced my ears at 11 years old it was done by my neighbour’s son he was 11 also with a sewing needle and threat with soft candle and ice to numb the pain and the thread to put through the hole until it healed.

It was a coming of age tradition in my family. I was 13, and went to get them pierced with my mom and sister, a girls day out. I hope to keep the tradition with my two girls! Pretty earrings!!

I actually don’t know when I first got them pierced.. was too little and have no memory of it 🙂 But i DO know that I have a reputation of losing a lot of earrings haha! Would definitely try not to lose these ones though. XD

I first had my ears pierced by my paternal grandma and it was done with a needle and thread. I was about 2 months. As a result, my holes are uneven! But doesn’t bother me. 🙂

I had my ears pierced when I was about 10 years old and promptly got an ear infection. I got over that and now I feel naked without earrings.
