I don’t have an office…yet, and I don’t have a lot of free time. The easiest way for me to meet with people is to schedule several coffee chats often back to back. Sometimes it’s budding media professionals looking for advice, other times it’s like-minded individuals hoping to connect. If there’s time in between I can catch up on emails or read a few paragraphs of a book.
I tend to frequent the Second Cup at The Stockyards. My fave drink is their Caramel Corretto. However, Second Cup has recently brought on the talents of some of the worlds most knowledgeable coffee experts to examine and improve every part of their coffee process, as they say from farm to cup – it’s better, not bitter! I’ve some of their new stuff and I’m feeling the new signature brew, Batch 49. Everyone knows I don’t like the bitter taste of coffee and so I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.

The Look:
A wrap dress, like this safari-esque one from H&M is always my go to. It’s not stuffy, but still professional. Went for my usual neutral make up look. Tarte Amazonian Clay as a foundation, Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder, Benefit mascara, MAC blush in Raizin & Whole lotta love, MAC Cork lip liner and Beaux lip glass.

I’m an old school tea drinker so Black tea is what I call “Real Tea”. The London Fog allows me to feel hip and cool, while still “keeping it real” ;0)

I love Second Cup!! Why? They have ALMOND MILK!!!!! I can enjoy my coffee and lattw without the lactose attack in my gut. My favs: almond-hazelnut-latte extra hot, half sweet. YUM! And the almond milk flat white is to die for!

But my all time fave was their salted caramel hot chocolate. It was a seasonal drink at one point, not sure if they ever brought it back though.

I’m in love with their white hot chocolate, I would always by one after I finished my midterms in the middle of dead winter. I remember the first one I’ve had from there, and my best friend’s mom bought it for me (as a surprise) during the Toronto’s Santa Claus Parade, it made me so happy.
